Nexans signs a national agreement with Agefiph

In France, Nexans employs people in 7 companies and 18 establishments - in the fields of production, maintenance, engineering and administrative management, 53% of whom are manual workers (from CAP to Bac pro) and 47% employees and managers (from Bac pro to Bac + 5).
The Group has 128 disabled employees in France and meets its employment obligation with a direct employment rate of 6.09%. Nevertheless, Nexans wishes to progress and pursue its efforts in this area. With this agreement, Nexans aims to create a working environment that values and respects individual differences, promotes equal opportunities and fosters a culture of inclusion for all employees in France.

One agreement, five priorities
The objective of the national agreement signed with Agefiph is to make the disability policy a unifying corporate project that meets Nexans' strategic orientations in France:
- Pursue and amplify its commitment to diversity and the fight against discrimination by maintaining at least a 6% employment rate;
- Mobilise and involve all employees in the recruitment and retention of disabled people through awareness-raising, communication and training initiatives;
- Create favourable conditions for the employment, skills development and continued employment of disabled employees, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees;
- Implement measures to manage incapacity, maintain employment and redeploy employees as part of its HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) policy.
- Develop a policy of collaboration with the protected and adapted sector.
