NEXANS PV AC/DC Alu 1-1,5kV

Manufactured at the Jeumont site (France), the low carbon NEXANS PV AC/DC Alu 1-1.5kV cable is recommended for use in industrial-scale solar power plants.
Universal use
The NEXANS PV AC/DC Alu 1-1.5kV cable is suitable for both direct current power connections with a voltage of 1500V between polarity and earth and alternating current 800V with regard to high phase/earth voltage rises resulting from the use of an anti-PID* device or an impedance neutral system.

Low carbon
NEXANS PV AC/DC Alu 1-1.5kV cables, 100% manufactured in France at the Jeumont site (59), guarantee a minimum 35% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared with standard cables. They are based on the guaranteed use of 100% low-carbon aluminium and recycled plastic, as well as the use of renewable or low-carbon energies during production.
Nexans makes available all the environmental data for its products (PEP Ecopassport®).

Nexans NEXANS PV AC/DC Alu 1-1.5kV cable is available in two versions:
- a version recommended for installation on the ground or under a sheath.
- a version with a reinforced sheath better suited to mechanised underground installation in accordance with NF C15-100 and UTE C15-520 (the cables are placed between two layers of river sand or loose earth, each 10 cm thick; independent mechanical protection against the impact of hand-held metal tools must be provided).
Ease of use
The NEXANS PV AC/DC Alu 1-1.5kV cable is available in a twisted version: an assembly of four twisted single conductors designed for three-phase AC connections with neutral or DC in the event of double polarities (possibility of assembling 2x DC up to 120mm² and 3x AC).
The twisted version offers the following advantages:
- Easier handling because more flexible than a multi-conductor cable
- Each cable is marked with a coloured border, making it easier and safer to identify during connection
- Saves time during installation: the number of pulls is divided by 4 compared with a conventional connection using single-conductor cables.
