Nexans PV AC/DC 1-1,5kV Alu are low voltage cables.
Nexans PV AC/DC 1-1,5kV Alu cables, 100% manufactured in France (plant Jeumont 59), guarantee a minimum 35% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to standard cables.
This offer is built on the guaranteed use of low-carbon aluminium and recycled plastic, as well as the use of renewable or decarbonised energies in manufacturing the cables.
Nexans provides all the environmental data for its products (PEP Ecopassport®).

Application
The Nexans PV AC/DC 1-1,5kV Alu cable offers excellent performance and long-term reliability, with a projected lifespan of more than 25 years. It is recommended for use in utility-scale solar power plants, regardless of the architecture chosen.
Universal Use
The Nexans PV AC/DC 1-1,5kV Alu cable is suitable for both DC power links with a voltage of 1500V between polarity and ground, and for 800V AC power links with respect to high phase/ground voltage rises following the use of an anti-PID* device or an impeding neutral regime.
PID* : Potential Induced Deterioration (of PV panels)
The Nexans PV AC/DC 1-1,5kV Alu cable is is available in two versions :
- version for above ground installations,
- version with reinforced sheath for direct buried installations depending on local specifications. In this case, we recommend mechanical laying with sand bedding in the trench.

- Single core cable with aluminum conductor
- XLPE insulation
- PVC outer-sheath or reinforced PVC outer-sheath

Electrical characteristics
Maximum current according to NF C15-100 for cable laid alone:
a) in the open air, sheltered from the sun, on cable trays or cable brackets, cable ladders, and spaced from the wall
b) buried (according to NF C15-100 and UTE C15-520 rules) in a soil with termal resistivity of 1 K.m/W, laying depth: 600 mm
The ampacity and voltage drop values (for cos φ = 0.8 et F = 50Hz) mentioned in the tables are those of a three-phase link.
If the conditions are different, apply the correction factors ot the NF C15-100 standard.
