Nexans HIGHFLEX High-flexibility vacuum insulated transfer lines
Nexans HIGHFLEX are highly-flexible vacuum insulated transfer lines designed for cryogenic applications with frequent position changes (coupling/decoupling, bending, dynamic stress). Fatigue resistance and pressure stability are improved thanks to stainless steel braids, armoring both the inner and outer tubes. They are applicable to all cryogenic fluids and process temperatures starting from 4K.

Construction
Nexans HIGHFLEX is a pipe-in-pipe construction made of two corrugated stainless steel tubes. The parallel corrugation provides high flexibility for increased bendability. Design includes single-braided stainless steel armoring on all tubes for enhanced pressure stability & resistance to mechanical fatigue.
High performance thermal insulation is achieved between process and outer tubes from combined action on heat radiation, conduction and convection
- Multilayer insulation material: multiple layers of highly reflective film separated with spacer fleece is lapped on process tube to reflect heat radiation outside of the construction
- High vacuum is generated in the annular space and stabilized with molecular sieves and chemical getter to prevent heat convection.
- Low loss spacer minimize contact area and subsequent heat conduction between outer and process tubes
All Nexans HIGHFLEX lines integrate a pumping module equiped with burst disks, a pumping port and a vaccum-sensing port
Nexans HIGHFLEX is available over a diameter range for the process tube from DN8 to DN150. Please consult us directly for product details on configurations larger than DN50.
